Living Mandala Course

This has been two years in the making, and over a decade in the percolation.

My fascination with the Cosmic Living Mandala started when I was introduced to the character of Nataraj - Shiva's incarnation as Lord of the Dance - in my yoga teacher training.

Since then I have explored the Mandala through the lens of Shamanism and the Celtic wheel of the year - and then of course from the perspective of Human Design since 2021, when I started the transits podcast and began creating my own visual Wheels of the Year to aid the study of the system.

In 2025 I gave a 3 hour keynote & workshop at the Holistik Human Design Conference in Oslo on the Living Mandala. That content provides the backbone of this 12 hour+ online course, where I have so much more time to expand on all the themes I briefly touched on in that presentation. Most notably, I have gone DEEP on the godheads!

Someone asked me to do something like this 3 years ago and it is finally here - I present to you, what I have learned so far about the Mandala, observed about the relationships within the wheel, and seen how the gates are influenced by the chemistry of this living, breathing, turning, evolving conscious life story.

What does Living Mandala cover?

By the end of this course you will understand the gates of the Human Design system like never before. Hopefully you will also look at the world around you with increased awe and wonder!

First we look at the importance of understanding the Gates in the context of the Mandala - as well as in the context of the Bodygraph.

I breakdown the structure of the mandala - a circular map - to help understand something about relationality and the cyclical nature of existence.

Next is an exploration of the Basic Binary (Yin/Yang), the four Quarters, the 8 elemental Houses.

The biggest section is the 16 Faces of the Godhead. Over 8 hours of content exploring each Gate in the context of the Godhead conditioning and the chemistry. How does if affect our minds? What do we experience through these chemistries? Must we be forever bossed about by it!?

Then we consider Cycles - which celestial bodies have the most significant influence and what are the characters of these planetary influencers?

Finally I show you how to relate this information to your understanding of the Human Design Bodygraph.

What does it mean to have Saturn in the Thoth godhead? How does the chemistry of Valine affect the psyche? How does Strategy & Authority weaken the influence of these powerful forces? How are these forces being evolved by us?

Studying the mandala shows how the many forces at work have affected the course of our individual lives as well as the whole of human history and the evolution of human consciousness.

The Course is suitable for...

All students of Human Design at any level. This course is about the cyclical map of human life, so any Human Design enthusiast, from beginner to very-experienced will gain some insight from this course.

It would probably be helpful if you have already taken Living Your Design & Circuits & Streams (or Rave ABCs/Cartography) but if not and you just want to jump in here, then this will certainly help you if you then go on the study the foundation courses.
